There are many different types and styles of red wine. Some of the more common flavors and types of red wine include cherry, plum, strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, currant, gooseberry, boysenberry, raisin, fig, pepper, clove, cinnamon, coffee, cocoa, mocha, tobacco, leather, licorice, toast, smoke, and violet. As for the style of the wine, now that will depend on the winemaker. Generally you will find light bodied wine, which has fewer tannins, medium bodied wine, which contains more tannins, and full body wine, which contains the most tannins and typically the most alcohol. The different brands and wine makers all tend to stick with more of one than one of the other styles of wine.
