With soaring gas prices and deteriorating environmental conditions low emission fuel efficient hybrid cars are on demand. People with penchants for big cars are leaning towards hybrid version of SUVs like Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid, Chevy Escalade and Yukon Hybrid.
The hybrid SUVs from General Motors are known to use the most sophisticated dual-mode hybrid powertrains for the first time. The dual-mode hybrid powertrains are joint production by GM, BMW and DaimlerChrysler. Chevrolet SUV’s powerful V8 engine is mated to two electric motors installed within the transmission.
The full-size SUVs from GM are definitely more efficient in terms of mileage and promise environment friendly motoring as well. Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid has already won the “Green Car of the Year” title in 2007.
