The last time I went to the doctor for a check up, I was expecting a clean bill of health. Boy was I surprised when my doctor told me I had high blood pressure. This was news to me, I had never had high blood pressure before. The doctor suggested I follow the DASH diet and get more exercise in order to try to lower my blood pressure. He also suggested I use an Omron Blood Pressure Monitor in order to monitor my blood pressure so that I could tell if my changes were making a difference over time. I am trying to avoid being put on medication to lower my blood pressure, as I hate taking pills.
