When I had my first daughter, I struggled with breast-feeding. It was new to me, nobody I knew had breastfed, and I really felt like I was on my own. At one point, my milk started to drop off, and I went to the doctor to ask about it. He tried to give me a prescription for a stomach medicine, because one of the side effects was increased milk production. I was so disgusted! I had hoped he would give me a more helpful solution than drugging myself. I never filled the prescription, and instead started following a whole foods diet I had read about. My milk increased, I had more energy, and I healed from my c-section very quickly.
