Several years ago we took a road trip to Amish country in Ohio. It was extremely fascinating to see people who still live so close to the land. It was nothing at all to pass buggies on the road and we were even able to tour a farm. The barn had been converted into a shop that sold Amish wares. I fell in love with a coat rack there. My husband said not to buy it, but that he would build it for me when we got home. He picked up some wrought iron coat rack information to get a better idea how it was done. When we got home, he showed his brother and he helped him duplicate the rack for me. It’s still a treasured piece in our home and reminds me of that trip.
