I am researching the different types of systems available from Portland, Seattle Boise home security companies, trying to decide which type of system would be the best for me and my family. My brother in law has a system where it beeps whenever a door or window is opened, even if the system is off. That way his wife knows whether the kids are trying to leave without telling her. However, if they forget to turn off the alarm, and open anything other than the main two doors the alarm goes directly to the company without a chance to type in a code. I would always want an opportunity to type in a code.
