Hyacinths make beautiful fresh cut floral arrangements. When using hyacinths in an arrangement a designer should make sure that they trim at least one inch off from the bottommost part of their stems. Additionally, any stem trimming should be done at an angle to ensure that the flowers continue to receive adequate nutrients while on display. Finally, when arranging hyacinths, you may want to visit your local florist or garden center as they offer specialized stakes that can be placed inside the stems of hyacinths. Once the hyacinths have been arranged, an adequate level of water should be maintained. Also make sure the arrangement is kept away from sources of heat. The plant is known to dry out pretty fast.
