I love browsing through antique stores and flea markets. There is so much great stuff out there. I love to get an older piece and make up stories about how owned it and what their life was like. Recently I found a really nice brooch at an antique store. I asked the shop owner about it and she told me it was a piece of custom jewelry. There is a date engraved on the back. I had a wonderful time with the owner discussing what we thought that date might be. An anniversary? Birth date? Needless to say I bought it before leaving the shop! I’ll tell you what, I get more compliments on it than anything else I own!
