Have we really evolved into a post-dating society? Those of us who tend to communicate via technology rather than face-to-face would say yes, and what a relief it is!
Many of us don’t pretend to be nice when we actually feel like being not-so-nice. It is quite freeing. It enables some of us to actually be our true selves.
On the other hand, it can make it harder to find people to relate to who are true to themselves as well as to you.
Don’t give up though. You must become an increasingly better judge of character of people you meet both on- and offline.
It’s interesting to see how we complete circles in society. Now that we have become used to and even like many of the faceless technologies that we use to “date” one another, we are now seeing many video-conferencing and video email technologies come to the forefront. Will they be as popular? Who knows? We’re only human after all.
