I have recently joined a bible study group, and it seems that the other members are just so much more knowledgeable than I am. I would like to read some Christian theology books in order to learn more about my religion and be able to better participate in my bible study group. Can anyone recommend some good Christian theology books? I want some that are written for lay people since I am just getting started in the learning process. I want books that deal with mainly the basics, nothing too controversial since I won’t necessarily understand really complex arguments over whether something might be true or not.
