Finding reliable debt advice can be problematic. There are literally thousands of companies out there that offer free debt advice. The problem is ascertaining which ones are best equipped to represent your interests. Furthermore, which of these can actually be trusted to represent your interests, as opposed to making recommendations that serve their own interests?
There are non profit organisatsions that can help, however, there may be a waiting list for an appointment, also they may not be as well qualified as people in the commercial sector.
That said it is always worth speaking to the non profit agencies as they may be able to recommend a more reliable commercial one.
