A while back my father broke his back. He was riding his favorite horse out on our farm property, and simply fell off taking a corner too quickly. We were all worried about his health, but as it improved, our concerns turned more financial, wondering what the insurance billing and coding would end up being like. Our fears were calmed when we realized everything was covered and both he and the farm would be fine. Our land has been in the family for forty years, and it would be heartbreaking to part with it now simply to pay for a medical operation.
