If you have ever wondered what to expect when you order satellite TV, let me share my brief experience. After you place your order, an installer will come out to get everything going. Expect the installation to take anywhere from two to six hours depending on what is already in place. The installer will mount the Direct TV satellite dish on the outside of your home, in a position facing the southern sky. Then its time to make sure there are cable runs to all of the TV’s in the home. Finally, once the receivers are connected, the installer will give you a brief tutorial with the remote control to show you how your new satellite TV system works.
