One of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had is when I call a company, be it for a phone service, insurance needs, or even trying to get through to the county, and I have to wade through a maze of computer instructions. Generally even after pressing two, holding, being transfered to India, holding, and being transfered again, I almost invariably end up talking to a person that I can’t understand and who is in the wrong department anyway. These places need to get some CRM software and consulting in place, and realize that they will lose customers if they can’t be easily reached for questions or concerns.
