Movies can inspire games in more ways than having a direct game based on a movie. Battle Chess is a good example of a movie influencing a game. It was a pretty basic premise it is chess but that comes to life. When you see the pieces battling against each other it makes for more action. The idea came from the movie Star Wars which featured a 3d chess game that helped inspire the game creator of Battle Chess. You can never go wrong with a good board game video game, as long as the AI is not too hard or too easy to beat.
