teaching english in asia allows for you to travel all around Asia while you have a place to stay, a permanent job, and a continual income. Obviously you won’t be traveling all the time; there will be times when you will be focusing on your job. Teaching children can be quite rewarding especially when they go from knowing no English to being able to put together words and then are able to speak in complete sentences. I can only imagine being a new teaching and not having any students that speak English in the class. That might be a little overwhelming at first but I’m sure that you get used to it. Plus if you go for a TEFL certification then they better prepare you for situations like this. So if the scenario above is something you are not too sure about you might want to think about taking TEFL classes so that you can be better prepared for teaching overseas. Feeling confident about your abilities as a teacher is very important!
